The light installation leads to a suspension and contemplative wait.
A series of masonry leads (echoes of the architectural past) develop in ascent, suspended on bent segments of light.
The space, ideally defined by the leads and their ideal function, coincides with the underlying light that bends and reduces in an infinite progression that tends to the sky.
A clear and linear representation of a future thought where there are no barriers or spatial limits.
In “Light and space will coincide” the utopian element is the subject, the reference to the architecture more and more direct: the plumb line draws light, delimits the space, marks the need for a progressive lightness, circumscribes the perceptive geometry of the gaze : fullness and emptiness overlap, created and determined by light radiation, while the eye of the beholder is immersed in the contemplation of movement.
As in the works of James Turrel or Olafur Elisasson, Filippo Centenari tries to create a sensorial space, a place where subject and object converge towards a mutual and reassuring vision.
